Why it matters

01

Labyrinth seal

Mechanical labyrinth system in the R-series hubs keeps dirt out for long-term reliability.

02

Derived from Artech

R-series uses the same rim profiles as the Artech series but without Aeroscales and with steel instead of carbon spokes, at a lower price.

Will it fit your build?

Manufacturer information

What does tyre compatibility mean on the Scope R4.A?

Tyre compatibility: 29-71 mm, hooked, optimum 30 mm. A supple, lightly treaded tyre suits fast tarmac miles; loose terrain needs more grip and volume. Tubeless or hookless labels are compatibility requirements, not styling choices. Width, model, pressure and frame clearance must all agree.

Schwalbe: ETRTO band-velgcombinaties

What does internal/external rim width mean on the Scope R4.A?

Internal/external rim width: 25 mm / 33.7 mm. Internal width affects tyre shape and mounted width. More support can suit wider gravel tyres; a narrow road tyre does not automatically fit a wide rim. External width affects aerodynamics. Always check the approved tyre/rim pairing.

What should I check before fitting the Scope R4.A?

Check axle dimensions, rotor mounting and cassette driver on your bike. The approved tyre-rim combination and frame clearance must also match. A matching brand name alone is not enough.
