Explicitly labelled not a factory-named group: mechanical 105 is shown on shimano.com as part of the R7100 line, not as a separate 'R7120' marketing product. Re-verified (2025-06-11): the page remains a Next.js app with zero static images (no jpg/png/webp) in the raw HTML or __NEXT_DATA__; the corresponding bike.shimano.com product-detail page (which does have a photo gallery) is blocked by Akamai bot protection in this sandbox (HTTP 403 'Access Denied' on every user-agent/IP attempt), so it could not be used as a substitute source.

Possible frames in the configurator
The configurator estimate is not a quotation. Thomas confirms price, specification and availability.
More gears can give smaller steps but do not tell you how easy climbing will be. Climbers and loaded riders should consider the lowest gear; fast flat-road riders cadence steps and the highest gear.
Electronic shifting offers light, consistent operation but needs charged batteries. Mechanical shifting needs no charging and often suits tighter budgets. On gravel, chain control and the right derailleur also matter; choose a coherent package.
Hydraulic disc brakes can provide strong, controllable braking, especially in rain and descents. Rim brakes require a suitable frame and braking surface. For loads and long descents, consider the complete brake, rotor, mounting and heat-management combination.
Model code and generation identify the exact component. Similar names do not mean identical interfaces or specifications. For upgrades and replacements, version and model year matter; the newest version may not fit your bike.
